Commerce Cillutions is a consulting company with roots in the mining, consulting and retail industries. 

 

Michelle Cilliers is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and has over 20  years' experience in blue chip corporations including SAB Miller, PwC and Anglo American. Exposure in technical environments has seen the establishment of supply chain practices in greenfields mining projects, rollout of a global risk management program for mining safety and the establishment of technical capability in the sustainable development arena to ensure enhanced performance of the function. 

 

Michelle's involvement as a member of two university engineering advisory boards, and her extensive experience on the Board and various committees of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) reflect her passion for engineering and the importance of strong links between academia and industry for companies to get the best from their new graduates. As the first woman President of the Southern African Institute for Industrial Enineering in 2000, Michelle inspired a new generation of women.

 

Michelle is a sought after guest and motivational speaker, having given numerous engineering graduation speeches as well as addressing student groups to discuss what is needed when they move into the corporate environment in order to be effective, successful engineers.  In recognition of her contributions she received the 2014 Excellence in Engineering & Technology Award from Group Five & the University of Johannesburg.

 

Jo Cilliers has a B.Com (Hons) in Economics from Stellenbosch University and an M.Com in Business Management from the University of Johannesburg. He has been the CFO of  a multi-level marketing company and is currently

the CEO of Redefine Distribution, and a director of Umlozi International. He has extensive business experience in property management, marketing, retail, distribution and international sourcing.

Elina Cilliers is a highly qualified professional with a strong educational background and extensive experience in the field of industrial mechanical engineering and manufacturing systems engineering. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Industrial Mechanical from the University of Stellenbosch and a Masters of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

With over 10 years of experience at GM, Elina has worked in various manufacturing operations, gaining valuable insights and expertise in leading overall operations and successfully delivering projects within specified timeframes and budgets. Her proven track record of excellence reflects her ability to effectively manage diverse manufacturing processes across different industries. Elina 's expertise lies in developing innovative business strategies, optimizing production processes, and driving improvements in performance, quality, and safety standards.

She is well-versed in implementing lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve process excellence. Moreover, Elina has been instrumental in implementing sustainable practices within various industries, showcasing her commitment to environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. She excels in value stream market analysis and has a strong aptitude for optimizing business processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency, ultimately delivering measurable results. In addition to her technical skills, Elina is skilled in developing best-in-class business processes and conducting training and development programs.
